Understanding customer engagements with peer-to-peer accommodation (P2PA)

Challenge

A group of students from Griffith University’s marketing department were interested in conducting some primary research as part of their PhD requirement, related to understanding customer engagements with peer-to-peer accommodation (P2PA). To achieve this, they used GrowthOps’ in-house panel to speak to an audience of 300 Australians, all of whom have used peer-to-peer accommodation (P2PA) i.e. Airbnb, in the past.

Idea

The target audience was presented a 15-minute long survey consisting of detailed questions that helped the Griffith University students understand a variety of metrics, including:

– The type of accommodations preferred while using P2PA
– Likelihood of target audience agreeing that P2PA offers values such as functional, emotional, convenience, location, communication, trust, autonomy, competence, customer engagement.
